Privacy

Last updated: 7 June 2026. Dibs is a private booking assistant run by an individual for a small group of friends. It is not a commercial service. Questions: admin@dibs-book.online.

What we collect

• Your phone number (and Telegram ID, if you use Telegram) — stored only as a one-way hash, so we can recognise you. The raw number (and your Telegram ID) are never written to our records — they're kept encrypted and erased when you leave. We also derive your country from the number's prefix (e.g. +34 → Spain) — only the country code is kept, and only the admins see it.
• The booking messages you send — to understand and act on your request.
• Voice notes you send — turned into text by Google's AI so we can understand your request. The audio isn't kept once transcribed; only a note we couldn't understand is held for up to 24 hours to fix the problem, then deleted.
• Your gym login — if you ask Dibs to book for you, your gym username and password are stored encrypted and used only to log in to that gym on your behalf.
• Booking history — a record of each booking we attempt for you (date, time, venue, outcome and reference), kept to run the service, measure reliability, and — in future — to bill for successful bookings. It is tied to a hashed ID, not your phone number.

How we use it

Only to book courts you ask for and to message you back about those bookings. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. We do not contact you for anything you didn't ask for.

So the service stays reliable, Dibs also sends its two administrators a short service alert by Telegram when a booking fails or an invite needs approval — it carries your first name and the booking or invite status, never your number.

Where it lives

On a single private server, encrypted at rest. If you message us on WhatsApp your messages are carried by Meta, and on Telegram by Telegram — each under their own terms, and (like most messaging apps) on servers outside Europe.

Voice notes are sent to Google (in the US) purely to transcribe them into text; Google does not use them to train its models.

Deleting your data

Message DELETE MY DATA to Dibs on WhatsApp or Telegram at any time and everything we hold about you — your hashed number, saved logins, and bookings — is erased.

Exception: if we have ever charged a fee for a booking, we keep that booking's record as a financial record (legally required) even after you delete your data — everything else is removed.
